You can find our soups in the freezer at your local Farro store.
It’s simple for every soup you buy, we donate a soup of the same volume to one of our chosen charities.
In the future, we plan expand our network to other retailers. If you are a retailer and would like to sell our soups, we would love to hear from you. We also plan to sell online line when volumes are large enough.
Please feel free to contact us on the Contact Us form.
All donations are greatly appreciated. Your donation will 100% be used for achieving our mission. It will be put into anything needed over and above what is donated for the soups, this include kitchen equipment, staff to make the soups and logistics. Check out our amazing Key Sponsors on the About Us page.
We are on a zero waste Mission, so once we have gone to the effort of making the soup, we want to ensure it is not wasted. Selling it Frozen gives us a 6 month shelf life rather than less than a week of Fresh.
Yes, in Summer we are looking at making Pasta bakes and Ready to Go Meals.
We only make soup when we have surplus meat that would otherwise be going to landfill. If there is no surplus meat, we don’t make soup, how good is that!
We would love some help. Feel free to contact us.
Our Kitchen is Auckland based and logistically it is cheaper to move the soups around Auckland. In the future we would like to have other retailers giving us their surplus meat and have kitchens working around the country.
We would love to take your meat, however, we work under strict Food safety Protocols and can only take meat from food retailers that have a registered Food safety plan. If you are a retailer with such a plan, please feel free to contact us
A Charity is a not for profit organisation in which all the money earned by or donated is used in pursuing the organisations objectives and keeping it running. A Social Enterprise maximises social impact alongside profits for external shareholders.
Waste-Not Kitchen is currently awaiting its full registered charity status.
Waste-Not Kitchen was set up on a Zero Meat wastage mission. Once we achieve this goal, we will move onto minimizing other surplus retail food items.
The meat is currently donated by Farro retail stores. It is meat that is surplus to requirements. It is frozen in commercial freezers before its use by date, just like you may do if you have meat that you decide not to use for a meal in your fridge.
T & G Global kindly donate all the vegetables for the soups. They provide us with their Tag 2 and 3 vegetables which may be too 'ugly' to sell at a retail level but are perfect for soups.
